Irish and German partnerships building the Smart Cities and Homes of the Future
The Embassy of Ireland in Germany and the Technische Universität Berlin, in association with Science Foundation Ireland, invite you to a Science Colloquium in celebration of Irish/German research strengths and linkages and ESOF 2012 Dublin.
The colloquium, which is being organised in conjunction with IDA Ireland and the Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor to the Irish Government will take place at Technische Universität Berlin, Strasse des 17. Juni 135, 10623 Berlin (Main Building, Room H 1028) on 25 April 2012 at 10.00.
This event will showcase the technical advances that Irish and German research groups have made in this sector and the partnerships that have been established between companies and research institutes.
Dublin has been declared Europe’s City of Science for 2012. In this capacity, Dublin will host Europe’s largest science conference, ESOF 2012 (Euroscience Open Forum), from 11-15 July this year.
Throughout the year, over 160 events are taking place as part of a year-long celebration of science which will showcase the best of Irish culture, arts and science.

The inaugural Life Sciences International Summit (the Summit), which takes place on 11 November 2010 at Croke Park, will discuss Ireland’s potential for innovation and is expected to attract over 300 delegates including world-renowned opinion leaders, experts from pharmaceutical and fine chemicals sectors, firms producing diagnostic equipment, medical devices manufacturers and international venture capitalists.
